On Shaul HaMelech Boulevard, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art sits beside the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center, home of the Israeli Opera and the Cameri Theatre; the Israel Philharmonic plays a few streets away. In Neve Tzedek, the Suzanne Dellal Centre is the home of contemporary dance and of the Batsheva Dance Company, and the painter Nahum Gutman has his museum.
Reuven Rubin’s 1930 house on Bialik Street is a museum of his work, and in Jaffa, Ilana Goor’s house on the hill is filled with her art and collections.

Book the opera, the Philharmonic and Batsheva ahead; the museums close early on Fridays.
Our advice: the Cinematheque shows films with English subtitles; check before you book.
