Ben Gurion Airport
Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) lies south-east of Tel Aviv. From Terminal 3, Israel Railways trains run into the city; the Kavim 445 bus leaves from Level 2, Exit 21; and licensed taxis wait outside the ground floor around the clock, charging by the meter only (Israel Airports Authority). Flights can be disrupted at short notice: check yours with your airline.
Israel Railways
Israel Railways’ trains stop at Tel Aviv’s stations along the Ayalon highway, among them Savidor Center and HaShalom, with services to the airport, Jerusalem, Haifa and along the coast. Trains do not run on Shabbat; check timetables on the operator’s own site and app.
Light rail, buses and bikes
The Red Line light rail runs underground through the city centre and on the surface to the south and east; further lines are under construction. Dan and other operators run the buses. Pay for all of them with a Rav-Kav card or the Rav-Kav app. Metrofun’s shared bikes cover Tel Aviv, Herzliya and Ramat Gan, and the promenade and Rothschild Boulevard have cycle paths.
