Neve Tzedek and the old station

In depth·Neve Tzedek

Low houses and boutiques, the home of Israeli dance, a painter’s museum and the old railway station.

Neve Tzedek keeps a village scale: low houses along narrow lanes. Shabazi Street has the boutiques and cafés, the Suzanne Dellal Centre the dance, and the Nahum Gutman Museum the painter who drew it all; at its edge, HaTachana has turned the old station into shops, and The Drisco brings the 1866 colony house back to life.

Staying

The Drisco and the InterContinental David.

Walk it in the late afternoon, then stay for a show at Suzanne Dellal.

Our advice: book Popina ahead, and leave time to get lost in the lanes.
