The White City’s buildings, built from the early 1930s to the 1950s by architects trained in Europe, are, UNESCO notes, an outstanding example of the Modern Movement adapted to local traditions and climate: white rendered walls, long balconies for shade, ribbon windows and flat roofs. Look for them on Rothschild Boulevard, Bialik Street and around Dizengoff Square.
